What I have in mind is: as people join or visit this site they will start groups that can grow for the communities they are from. Oklahoma is a rural state. I used to know a lot of people all over Washita County. Seems to me a good way to start participating is to add a group for your county, community or school. But, do yourself a favor. Keep it manageable.
I have made this site for all of the people of Oklahoma. But, 2 of my 3 groups (so far) are especially for those I grew up with. You can add your own group. Think about it first though. If you add a group that everybody joins but the ones you want to contact - well, I don't think it will do you much good.
This is a place for making social contact, not for soliciting clients. But, make sure you mention your business now and then. I would rather have a Red Devil, Blue Devil, Bulldog, or Tornado do a job for me than some joker I don't know. I would think others are of the same mind set.
I hope this don't turn into a battlefield for old enemies, or just another chat room. So, if you have hangups from the past please take them elsewhere.

Judging from the comments made to me from face to face conversations with people I work with Oklahoma Social Club has a good chance of becoming a workable site. My major problem will be finding time to spend working on it. My normal workday is already 14+ hours per day. So, I gotta ask the members to take the initiative to push the site as much as they can. The more people that join - the greater the chances of finding new and old friends.
I will run some Google Ads for this site ASAP, if not sooner.
